Department of Public Health, Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, Babeș-Bolyai University
Cluj School of Public Health (C-SPH) is an innovative research focused program with full English educational track in public health – BA, MPH, PhD in Cluj, Romania. This is the only Public Health program taught completely in English in the entire Central and Eastern Europe. In accordance with this, the SPH program was designed in order to prepare independent professionals in the field of Public Health at the highest standards. The program is customized so as to cover every aspect of Public Health’s field, but is also allowing students to focus on their area of interest. This way, the program brings an interdisciplinary approach on Public Health tackling five major fields: Health Policy and Management, Social and Behavioral Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, and Environmental Health.
Department of Political Sciences, Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, Babeș-Bolyai University
The Department of Political Sciences envisions an integrated set of objectives and research techniques. The personnel researches democratization problems, consolidation of democracy, transition to market economy, identity politics, human rights, political culture and political parties. Our research is not focused exclusively on politics in Eastern Europe. We are constantly looking to broaden the spectrum of research issues of interest. Thus, we have developed research interests related to other geographical areas (South-Eastern Asia, Western Europe, Latin America etc.) and we constantly update curricula to include issues varying from the political sciences, such as gender studies and critical theory. The members of our department are part of some research institutions and are thus directly involved in efforts to establish design research sites, data collection and processing and even in influencing the public agenda.
